For Buxted our core sessions are Monday to Friday during term time (38 weeks of the year);
Morning Session 9am-12noon
Afternoon Session 12noon-3pm
Children who attend Buxted have access to privately funded holiday sessions at Maresfield outside of term time.
Please contact the office for the latest fees.
15 hours per week (5 sessions) funding is available for all 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds. 30 hours per week (10 sessions) funding is available for eligible 3 and 4 year olds.
We accept EYEE funding and private fees for our Buxted sessions.
Uniform is not compulsory but is recommended. Our children explore a wide range of activities and materials and although we encourage apron wearing during messy play they do still tend to get messy. For this reason please only send children to Pre-School in play clothes. Pre-School polo shirts and sweatshirts are available to purchase from our uniform supplier HERE
Lunchtime takes place at the beginning part of the afternoon session. If your child attends afternoon sessions, or all day, please send them with a healthy packed lunch. A light breakfast is included for children attending Breakfast Club at Maresfield. For a small fee a light tea can be provided for children attending the 3pm-6pm session at Maresfield. We operate a no nuts policy in both sites.
Healthy snacks are available during our morning sessions or if children are feeling hungry. Water and milk are freely available through the day.
We are fortunate to have a qualified forest school leader as well as another member of staff in training. Forest school sessions take place weekly at Maresfield and will soon be operating in Buxted.
There is strictly no onsite parking at Maresfield. Please park responsibly in the village and walk the last few minutes. There is a crossing patrol by the recreation ground before 9am and after 3pm. Blue badge holders may apply to the office for a permit to park in our blue badge bay.
Buxted benefits from full onsite parking facilities.
Local offer for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
